Our Hawkes Bay Vineyards
Between soil and sky, we farm by hand and heart — letting the land decide the rhythm, and the vines tell the story.
Home Block – Mangatahi, Hawke’s Bay
Where our story is rooted, and every vine is guided by hand.
Set on a gentle north-facing slope 165 metres above sea level, the Home Block is one of Hawke’s Bay’s more inland vineyards—35 kilometres west of the Pacific coastline at Mangatahi. This elevated position places it above the frost and fog lines that affect many valley-floor sites, giving slightly warmer nights and promoting higher respiration rates in the vines. The result is fruit with distinctive flavour development at lower sugar levels and a refined natural balance.
First planted in 2014, the 3-hectare vineyard—rooted in deep red gravel river terrace soils—hosts Syrah and Chardonnay, alongside newer blocks of Riesling, Pinot Noir and Gamay.
Managed Ergodynamically, only our own hands tend the vines, ensuring every decision carries intention. Dry-farmed and low yielding, the Home Block produces wines of precision, texture, and quiet power—true reflections of an exceptional inland site.
Two Terraces Vineyard – Mangatahi, Hawke’s Bay
Where shared purpose and patient hands bring clarity and character to every harvest.
The Two Terraces Vineyard, owned by Ian and Linda Quinn, lies 32 kilometres inland from the Pacific coast at Mangatahi, 106 metres above sea level.
Dedicated to producing exceptional grapes for the region’s leading winemakers, the Quinns farm their land with care, purpose, and deep understanding. Certified Organic, the vineyard exemplifies the synergy between thoughtful stewardship and expressive fruit.
From this site, we source Gamay, Pinot Noir and Chenin Blanc—varieties that thrive in its balanced soils and temperate inland climate.
Very few growers possess both the skill and integrity required to grow the fruit we seek, and the Quinns are among that rare few. Their commitment shows in every harvest: pristine fruit that captures the quiet energy of this site.
